Classified Substitute

Gladstone School District is now accepting classified substitute applications. Please read below for details on how to register. No appointment is necessary.

Welcome and thank you for your interest in substituting in the Gladstone School District. We appreciate and value the service you provide.

Gladstone is a community with a population of approximately 12,000 people. The District consists of four schools: Gladstone Center for Children and Families (K), John Wetten Elementary (1-5), Kraxberger Middle School (6-8) and Gladstone High School (9-12).

To be eligible to substitute in the Gladstone School District, you must first register at the Gladstone School District Office located at 17789 Webster Rd., Gladstone. You can download the application online or pick one up at the district office. Second, complete the online Criminal History/Volunteer Application at:

In addition to the Application and Criminal History Background Check, you will need to bring the following items: Two pieces of ID for the I9 and a voided check for Direct Deposit.

Classified Substitutes are required to be fingerprinted after approval for work and scheduled. Fingerprinting is required prior to your first day of employment.
