School Resource Officer Eric Graves from the Gladstone Police Department is a presence in our four schools. His role is:
• to help students build a positive relationship with the police
• to deter violent acts
• to protect students as needed.
You may find Officer Graves helping out in and around our schools. He helps serve breakfast, reads to kindergarten students, presents on career day, and helps out with school events like the jog-a-thon and Everybody Reads Day.
To report a concern to Officer Graves, contact him by phone or text at 503-793-7830 or email GravesE@Gladstone.k12.or.us.
Gladstone Schools maintains a close partnership and ongoing communications with the Gladstone Police Department, which has done training drills in our school buildings to prepare for rapid response to threats. The Gladstone Police are also an active part of the district’s Threat Assessment Team.
