STUDENTS:  Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, Virgil Goode…these are the names of the candidates who are running for president that you may not have heard of. Are you voting for one of them, or will you vote for Romney or Obama? Today during the first 5 minutes of advisory you get to decide. Remember to check Ms. Voodre’s bulletin board for more information. High school students across the nation are also voting, so by early next week we’ll have an indicator of how this election might end. Take advantage of the opportunity to shape the future of our wonderful democracy – VOTE! (10/26)

TUTOR PRACTICUM STUDENTS:  If you are a B-Block tutor practicum student, you need to stay for the bus drill on Tuesday, October 30 before you leave for JWE or GCCF.  You are Group 1, Bus 5 and you need to check in with Mr. Holliman. (10/25-29)

ACE MENTORS INFORMATION SESSION FOR STUDENTS:  Tuesday, October 30th, 5:00 – 6:30 PM or Thursday, November 1st, 5:00 -6:30 PM.  ACE Mentors is a robust mentoring program for junior and senior students interested in Architecture Construction and Engineering.  Cohorts of students meet weekly after school in the spring (usually in downtown Portland). STUDENTS:  National College Fair 2012 – Oregon Convention Center – Friday, 10/26 from 9 – noon and Saturday, 10/27 from 1:00 – 5:00.  200+ colleges will be represented from all over the US.  No cost to attend, but you can register ahead of time at (10/26)

STUDENTS:  Have your Job Shadow yet?  Just do it!  Choose one of the opportunities on the GHS Career Board, Register on line.  Time is running out. (10/25-26)

STUDENTS:  Want to explore a career in Dentistry?  OHSU’s Dental Career Exploring Program applications are due.  See Mrs. DePeel for an application. STUDENTS:  The Gladstone Gladettes and the Milwaukie Pony Prancers will be performing their fall category routines in the GHS main gym this Saturday, October 27th at 12:30 pm.  This is an opportunity for a sneak preview!   Come take a look at what we’ve been working on!
