Volunteer training video

A special skill. An interest in supporting children and teens. These are just a couple of the reasons parents, seniors, community members, and high school students volunteer in Gladstone Schools. Annually, over 800 volunteers assist with a variety of tasks that benefit staff and students. Following are some of the opportunities available:

  • Tutoring
  • Mentoring
  • Lunch Buddies
  • Food Pantry
  • After school club leaders
  • Reading with Students
  • Assisting in Library
  • Conducting Mock Interviews
  • Teacher Aides
  • Speakers in Classrooms
  • Chaperones for Dances and Parties
  • Coaching Athletics and Activities
  • Organizing Fundraisers
  • Selling Concessions
  • Parent Clubs and Booster Clubs
  • Foundation Dinner Auction
  • Chaperoning Field Trips
  • Assisting with Vision and Health Screening
  • Assisting with Special Art Projects
  • Organizing and Assisting with Athletic Events, Camps, Clinics and Tournaments
  • Serving on Various School Committees

Thousands of dollars are saved each year through the use of volunteers. For the safety of students, all volunteers must pass a criminal background check.
