Walter L. Kraxberger Middle School
Kraxberger Middle School serves 500 students in grades 6 to 8. We strive to provide a wide variety of experiences for our students while providing a motivating, enriching curriculum.
In addition to Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science, students have the opportunity to explore Art, Music, Band, Technology, Physical Education, Health, and Spanish during their middle school years.
Each student at Kraxberger spends one period in Power Time. For details about this comprehensive class designed to meet the needs of the whole child, go to http://bulldogpowertime.blogspot.com.
The staff at Kraxberger is committed to designing and using a grading and assessment system that clearly communicates what a student should know and be able to do in each content area. We also offer a variety of opportunities for students to get the support they need for academic success. Please review the Grading by Proficiency document that explains our assessment and support philosophy.
In addition to our strong academic program, we provide opportunities for after school intramural programs in coed volleyball and basketball. We also offer a track program in the spring.
All students are welcome to join the fun provided by our KAOS (Kraxberger Awesome Opportunities after School) program staff on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons until 4 p.m.
