To help families facing hard times, the Gladstone Ministerial Association teamed up with Gladstone Schools to create a community clothes closet at Gladstone High. The site serves youths, providing clothing and shoes for babies, kids, and teens.
The clothes closet serves families weekly:
• Thursdays from 3 to 5 p.m.
• Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
We will be closed Winter Break and Spring Break. Summer hours to be announced.
Location: in a portable classroom on the north side of the Gladstone High campus, at 18800 Portland Avenue. For easy access, turn right on Nelson (the first street north of GHS) and turn in at the fire lane.
The group needs a volunteer to build dressing rooms, plus donations of department store shopping bags for those served. For more information, call coordinator LaRae Applebee at 503-758-4411.
Partners in the project include St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church, Gladstone First Baptist Church, Gladstone Christian Church, Portland Youth for Christ, Gladstone Nazarene Church, the Gospel Fellowship Community Church, and Gladstone Schools.
