Why choose Kraxberger Middle School?
Besides focusing on challenging core academics, students have the opportunity to choose from several elective options, including band, technology, Spanish, art, and more.
In addition, every sixth grader takes a 6-week AVID class, an opportunity to learn planning, communication, leadership, and other life skills while also learning academic best practices and study skills. All sixth graders attend Outdoor School, emphasizing environmental science, ecology, and sustainable practices.
The school emphasizes positive peer group connections and bonding with adult mentors through a wide array of free after school enrichment opportunities. Options include Robotics Club, Basketball, Book Club, Track and Field, Co-Ed Volleyball, Drama, and the KAOS club, with opportunities ranging from hip hop, soccer, and yoga to chess, ultimate frisbee, and knitting.
Academic supports include free support from teachers and high school tutors after school.
