Free summer lunch program
Hot, nutritious lunches will be provided free to youths age 1 to 18 at two sites: Monday to Friday, June 18 to August 17, [No lunch on July 4.] Adult lunches $3.

Gladstone Center for Children & Families [GCCF]: 18905 Portland Ave.

Kraxberger Middle School: 17777 Webster Road
11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Robotics at Kraxberger
June 19 — July 20

Electronics Recycling Club & free lunch
Tuesdays: 10 to 11:30 a.m. [grades 5 to 8]
Drop in June 19 & 26 and July 10 & 17
Learn e-recycling while raising funds to support robotics at Kraxberger Middle School.

Ultimaker Design Card Game
Wednesdays: 2 to 4 p.m. [grades 6 to 12]
Drop in June 20 & 27 and July 11 &18
Learn a design game to provoke, inspire, and entertain designers, artists, and engineers of all levels.

Robotics Research & Development
Fridays, 4 to 6 p.m. [grades 6 to 12]
Drop in June 22 & 29 and July 13 & 20
Be involved in planning next year’s robot. Help us research and build better robots. Adult volunteers welcome on Wednesday & Friday after passing a background check. The club meets in the back portables at Kraxberger Middle School.

Summer KAOS Club [grades 5 to 8]

Program activities vary daily, from kick boxing, soccer, kickball, basketball, and dodgeball, to crafts, knitting, gardening, hip hop, capture the flag and ultimate frisbee. KAOS runs from 9 a.m. to noon, Mondays to Thursdays from June 26 to July 20. The cost is $25 for 4 weeks, including an end of season Oaks Park trip. Snacks and free lunch are provided. No transportation is provided. Registration is required at the Kraxberger office.

We Play Wednesdays
Free play groups with stories, crafts, games, songs, and snacks for kids from birth to age 6. Join us 9:30-11 a.m. on Wednesdays, July 11 to August 1 at the GCCF. Space is limited, so please register by calling Chelsea at 503.367.9116 or email ClackamasParenting@gmail.com.

Free children’s shows presented by Gladstone Public Library

Live interactive educational reptile program. Two different show times to accommodate more people!

Rescued dogs perform sports and skits, teaching life skills and responsibility for all ages.

Portland Opera: Wednesday, July 18 @ noon
Singers perform selections from kid-friendly operas and teach about the exciting things that happen behind the scenes.

• Metropolitan Youth Symphony: Monday, July 30 at noon
A string ensemble performs, followed by an instrument petting zoo so kids can touch and try different instruments.

July 11 Golf Tournament to raise funds for Schools
Golfers, bring your foursome to the annual golf tournament organized by the Gladstone Education Foundation. All proceeds benefit Gladstone Schools & youth programs. The tournament has a shotgun start at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 11 at Stone Creek Golf Course. Participation is $125 per Golfer or $450 per foursome. Hole sponsorship is $1000 and includes golf-ing for 4. To sponsor a hole or to register your team, call Tammy Tracy at 503.655.2777 or email tracyt@gladstone.k12.or.us.
