Gladstone High School junior Gabi Cronin and sophomore Paul Brown competed at the Oregon Music Education Association's State Solo Music Championships on April 27 at Portland State University.
Gabi competed, for the first time, against the best tuba players in the state, regardless of age or division and took second place in the state. Paul received the highest rating possible from all three judges and is the state champion of the bassoon room.
These results are the fruit of thousands of hours of work in the practice room and in rehearsal. We are extremely proud of these two fine musicians.
