Go Glads! Gladstone High School's Symphonic Band competed on March 12 at the Northwest Invitational Band Contest at Clackamas Community College, where we earned state-qualifying scores, took first place in our division and won first place overall in sight reading.
Our Jazz Band performed at the Tri-Valley League Showcase on March 8, earning the "Outstanding Trombone Section" Award.
Then four Gladstone students performed at the District 13 Solo Festival on March 9: Emma Sandlin (trombone), Josh Flett (trombone), Paul Brown (trombone and bassoon) and Gabi Cronin (tuba). Brown and Cronin both earned the festival's highest possible ratings, took first place in their instrument categories and will compete at the State Solo Contest on April 27 at Portland State University.
