Career Day at John Wetten Elementary was a blast on April 12!
Dozens of insightful professionals volunteered their time in our classrooms, while teachers generously hosted sessions outside of their usual lesson plans.
Thanks as well to our students for asking lots of smart questions. Wetten students got ready for Career Day by dressing as what they want to be when they grow up.
We were honored to have a police officer, judge, massage therapist, electrician and restaurant owner among those participating. State Rep. Annessa Hartman was among the presenters.
Representing the city of Gladstone, Public Works Journey Utility Worker Scott Johnson spoke about parks, while both School Resource Officer Robbie Teague and Municipal Judge Amy Lindgren shared with students what they loved about their jobs.
