John Wetten Elementary's Literacy Carnival was a great success on May 18.
Thanks to all the school staff, JWE's Parent-Faculty Organization and Gladstone High School students who volunteered their time to bring a magical evening to fruition. Using student artwork, JWE staff decorated hallways by author themes including Doreen Cronin, Mo Willems and Maurice Sendak.
Hundreds of families enjoyed pizza, kona ice and root beer floats. Activities included mini golf, a free book fair, temporary tattoos, a prize walk, ball tosses, a bounce house and more.
