John Wetten Elementary students enjoyed getting hands-on with history by recently visiting two historic houses in Oregon City.
Gladstone students first explored the site of the fabled coin toss in 1845 to name Portland. After the Ermatinger House, they visited the Stevens-Crawford House, which was built in 1908 and has been restored to its Edwardian splendor with donations of furniture and textiles.
Thank you to fourth-grade teachers Taylor Adams, Kaitlyn Gillies, Amy Hanno, Serena Mullen, and Wendy Wyller for leading these journeys back through time for students!
