Gladstone Food Pantry Manager Alex Van Pelt and Gladstone Education Foundation Treasurer Maureen Huntley accepted a $3,220 check from the Gladstone Pickleball Club on Oct. 3, just in time for the start of the Backpack Buddies program and the pantry's holiday food drive.
Joining in the celebration were Gladstone Superintendent Jeremiah Patterson, Foundation Secretary Mark Baker and lots of members of the pickleball club who donated to the cause.
