John Wetten Elementary celebrated a huge success on our Move-A-Thon fundraiser. We hit our $40,000 goal and secured donations from all 50 states.
We have also beat last year's grand total! This pays for field trips, extra activities and new technology.
As one of the rewards for their hard work, students organized a Crazy Hair/Hat Day. We celebrated hitting $30K with a dance/bubble and chalk party during lunch/recess. All students got to wear pajamas to celebrate hitting $35K. Principal John McAndrews moved his desk outside to celebrate $25K, and we had our school-wide popcorn party for hitting our $40,000 goal.
Despite the unpredictable weather, our staff, volunteers and students came together demonstrating their unwavering determination and enthusiasm. You made the day memorable with your participation and enthusiasm, proving that nothing can dampen John Wetten Elementary School spirit.
We also want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families for your generous financial support. Your contributions are vital in making events like this possible and enhancing our school environment.
Shirts for all students were paid for by generous local businesses Delta Auto Glass, Mr. Rooter, Gladstone Family Dentistry, Spirit Media, Mazda of Gladstone, Swickard Honda, ESKI Printing, Brian Sutton with Edward Jones, Schlenker Chiropractic, Cookie Pot, The Brew, Worn and Refined, and Haskett Orthodontic.
