Four students at John Wetten Elementary competed as finalists on Oct. 23 to be Gladstone's nominee for kid governor.
Oregon’s Kid Governor is a statewide civics program for fifth graders managed by the Oregon Secretary of State’s Office. Candidates work with their classmates to create a campaign video outlining why they want to be Oregon kid governor, their leadership qualities and skills, a community issue that they want to address and why it’s important, and a three-point plan that will help fifth graders across Oregon make a difference on that issue.
Jordyn Mouton was elected as our JWE Kid Governor nominee. Thank you to all the teachers and staff who helped her become the outstanding advocate for change we see today!
