Recognizing all the wonderful benefits that the Gladstone School District's Gardening Club provides, community members have donated lots of new gardening tools.
This year the club has volunteered for fall cleanup sessions at the Gladstone Community Center in between time in the greenhouse to learn about sprouting, transplanting and fertilizing. We are currently growing six different herbs for our culinary class and cafeteria. Over the growing season, we grew lots of plants and had two big plant sales.
We hope to have more farm-to-table food and composting in school cafeterias. In the future we also envision more greenhouse improvements to utilize it more for year round use.
